Pulse Yoga Kids: Intro to Yoga

Calling all children, ages 5-8, or Kindergarten - 2nd Grade. Join Kelly for this one day workshop to learn about the basics of yoga! Through movement, breath and relaxation our young yoga students develop self-confidence, self-control and self-awareness. Starting them young on the mat offers long-term benefits and gives them the foundation for a strong mind and body.
This workshop introduces the basic postures and concepts of yoga and breath work in a fun and engaging way. Using music, crafts, games, and props, the students are given a safe and positive environment to begin their yoga practice and have fun! Students will learn how to develop strength, flexibility, and coordination. They will learn positive breathing and relaxation techniques to deal with day to day stresses. After moving our bodies and relaxing our minds, we’ll end the workshop with a craft, a mindful jar, that kids can take home with them. No yoga experience needed, all levels welcome!
Plan to bring water or a water bottle, wear comfortable clothing as we will be moving a lot, and a mat. If you don't have a mat, no worries, as we got extras at the studio.
Total workshop length is 1.25 hours and the fee of $25 includes the craft supplies. There are no refunds for this event. If you are not able to attend after purchasing, your spot may be gifted to another individual.
